How We Got Here!

Hi!! I am so excited to welcome you to our Itsy Bitsy Play Café! My name is Lisa Stahl, and I was a stay at home mom before embarking on the Play Café journey; and before that, I was a teacher! After making the decision to stay home full-time and raise my boys, I quickly realized how 'getting out of the house' was a necessity for them and me. We needed a change of scenery, and most importantly, we needed friends! I would drive around aimlessly looking for a place where I could let my boys explore and play while I sat comfortably watching and playing with them. The important thing was we needed a safe place and a place that was developmentally appropriate.  I remember thinking, I wish I could take them to a daycare/preschool like setting where other kids are playing too. That is when it hit me! I started doing some research and I learned about the Play Café world! I instantly knew that if I was in need of something like this, other mommas, dads and caregivers were too!  That is when Itsy Bitsy was born!
